Susanrachel Condon


Susanrachel graduated from the Swedish Institute in 1990, the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn Midwifery Program in 1998, and received her doctorate in midwifery from Jefferson University in 2019. She was certified to teach childbirth preparation, newborn care, and breastfeeding in1996 by the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York and served two terms as President of their Board of Directors. Susanrachel served on the faculty of the Swedish Institute for more than ten years and currently participates in their continuing education program. Since 1994, she has taught Bodywork for the Childbearing Cycle, a nationally accredited certification course for massage and bodywork professionals in addition to numerous related courses. She developed the full year In Your Hands - Massage for Women's Health across the Lifespan hybrid education program in partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Therapeutic Arts.

Richard Condon


Richard has been a Certified Advanced Rolfer since 2002 and a licensed massage therapist since 1991. He is the Director of the Balance Rolfing & Massage Studio in Gardiner NY and Co-Director of Niara Healing Arts. Richard was a staff therapist at the Ostrow Institute for Pain Management from 1995 to 2002. His massage work is aimed at combining soft tissue manipulation with necessary adjustments in balance, posture and body mechanics to minimize myofascial and joint dysfunction. Richard developed and teaches his own therapeutic techniques in which joint range of motion is incorporated into soft tissue mobilization and combined with massage. These techniques often yield profound and lasting results. He is a graduate of the Swedish Institute, the Rolf Institute, and holds a BA from the State University of New York, New Paltz. Richard is a competitive athlete and chess enthusiast.

Susanrachel and Richard have produced an advanced pregnancy massage techniques video program for massage therapists and a labor massage video program for couples and childbirth professionals. They have also lectured widely as private consultants at conferences, hospitals, birth centers, schools and spas. Richard and Susanrachel have 3 adult children.
